On top of everything, our food wasn't even worth the wait. The bread was rock hard and the brownies hadn't even been warmed up. We were not even told sorry for the wait or anything when we placed our order or when we received our food or nothing.

Just went in for takeaway toasted sandwiches. My sister ordered cheese and tomato, I ordered ham, cheese and tomato. They didn't put cheese in either of them (or salt/pepper if you want to be picky)! It's not a toastie without cheese! How could they stuff up such a simple order!? Especially when there were more staff there than customers. This is the second time we have been to this cafe and both times we have had bad food or the staff have stuffed up the order. Won't be going back there again. Mmmmm warm tomato sandwich anyone?

We visited this place for breakfast on our trip down from Perth. It was very busy when we walked in which is fine considering it was a public holiday. My partner went to place our order and was in line for 30 minutes. During this time I was watching other tables around arrive, place their order at the cash only counter, receive their food and leave. When it was my partners turn to place our order he decided to order us a couple brownies from the front display for an entree as we were starving by this time. We had the most simple order of 2 eggs florentine,2 brownies plus 2 drinks. At the counter he was told the eggs florentine didn't even come with any ham or meat so we had to pay separately for that.

During our wait for our drinks and food again we were watching people who placed their orders after us receive all their drinks and food. Some of these tables with about 8 people and there was just 2 of us with the same order. After placing our order we received our drinks about 20 mins later and by the time we got our food our drinks were cold. We received our entree after our main. Then man who brought us our food looked like the manager as he was dressed differently to the staff. He didn't say a word to us.

They've changed the name to hummingbird. So it probably is a new owner. Great chairs for kids and all freshly made good. The kids fish and chips were not the frozen sort. They made effort to create the cereliac sale, tartar sauce and chips from scratch. We had the white bait and squid with the home made aioli. The roast chicken sandwich was not too shabby as the chicken was full of flavour with the homemade chilli jam.

Visited after it had been open for just three days and was very impressed.
